I wanted to start a poll, but i was too lazy to type multiple choices.. and there are a lot of choices! so, who do you think should get the award for Best Actor in a Vampire Role (after 1980, and not animated, and not in some low budget film)? i'll throw a couple out there.. - Gary Oldman - Dracula
- Gerard Butler - Dracula 2000 (i bet you forgot that was him)
- Thomas Ian Griffin - John Carpenters Vampires
- Kiefer Sutherland - The Lost Boys
- Konstatin Khabenskiy - Night Watch (watch this movie! and the sequel Day Watch.)
- Brad Pitt - Interview With a Vampire
- Eddie Murphy - Vampire in Brooklyn
- Wesley Snipes - Blade (he's only half vampire so you have to vote twice)
this list is not limited to movie vamps, TV is ok too. Please post a name - movie/show - pic - and reason (optional) I'll vote for Gerard Butler ;D I don't care what you say, that was a good movie... even though it had that guy from "that 70's show", the black guy from "House", and the Borg from "Star Trek: Voyager". Like it or lump it!

[/li][li]
I'll vote for Gerard Butler ;D I don't know why.
That was Gerard Butler on Dracula 2000? Its because he's GERARD MOTHERFUCKING BUTLER. That's why. The guy rules simply by EXISTING. Kinda like me. However I think Julian Sands is highly underrated as an actor and overall creepy dude. He did a vampire movie that was decent but I can't remember. When I care enough to look on his IMDB I will post. But you know how much I love Oldman so I'll vote for him. I'll also vote for the creepy kid from "Let The Right One In". If you haven't seen it, SEE IT. Highly original and atmospheric.

Yeah I was gunna vote for Oldman too, cuz he's a bad ass actor. (I would never recognize him if I saw him on the street!) But, Dracula 2000 had a very complicated and emotional Dracula. plus the whole Judas=Dracula thing was brilliant. Attachments:

I know, I know, I know... Legend has it that in 1996 while Gerard Butler was herding sheep in Scotland he came to a crossroads, where the Devil appeared to him. He challenged the Devil to a sheep herding contest (much like in the movie Babe), and won. Now he's in movies with fake muscles and teeth, and he's bangin' Jennifer Aniston.
speaking of supernatural actors and vampires......

Wow all generations of Keanu are expressionless cardboard cutouts.

Yes, being immortal is a very lonely existence, not everyone is cut out for it.
"When the people you love are gone, you`re alone." - Keanu Reeves
"There's no chance for us Its all decided for us This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us Who wants to live forever Who wants to live forever? Who dares to love forever? When love must die" - Queen

I have heard of Night Watch but I don't know why I stayed away from it. I will try to see it if I have anything that resembles "free" time.
Not vampire related but a few movies that I found very powerful (in message and how graphic they were):
"Feed" - deals with food and weight fetishes. Very disturbing. (Thanks Brad) "The Girl Next Door" - from novelist Jack Ketchum. Extreme case of child abuse(by a christian nutcase once again). Based on a true story.

It sure gives hollywood movies some competition. Grade A special effects.
Have you seen The Bridge? A controversial documentary about suicide jumpers off the Golden Gate. they set up cameras for a year and caught all these people going over.

Sounds interesting. You need to see "Deadgirl". Twisted, sick and very atmospheric. Highly recommended.

I Just saw Daybreakers... Finally, a role suited for Ethan Hawke. This is the first film I've seen him in where he doesn't have that "who farted in here?" look on his face. Training day was awesome too, despite him.

This is probly gonna sound weird but I always thought that Attila Csihar would play a really good vampire/actor overall
