I tried to make it a bit heavier so it feels like you are actually playing something. I could shrink the weight down to abot 5 lbs, especially the carbon fiber ones but it might feel like a guitar hero controller rather than a real guitar.

Just curious, is Jackson paying Whitaker to endorse them? Or Whitaker just prefers them?

OH dude I also Have a Kevin bond sig and shawn was at some show we played in Texas doing vox and mentiond that he also had one wierd. That shit rules dude pentagrams and green slime! theres a usa model with fuckin potleaf inlays and they're tits as hell. To my knowledge the lower tier endorses just get dealer price on instruments with jackson ,which is about 30% off map. But about 55% off list.

If you trimmed the body weight down to 5lbs,would that make the guitar neck heavy??I know that's pretty light, but for someone with back problems this would be a great relief!!Just curious!!

You are correct sir, it would be neck heavy, especially since the locking tuners are a bit weight-y, but we compensate with the top-horn button adjustment. There is nothing suckier than a guitar that swings down when you let go of the neck.

This is why composite bodied guitars like the old Steinbergers had no headstock, cause its really hard to compensate for very light bodies. There's a company called Basslab that also has composite headless basses. If I ever come up with a headless design (I doubt it) its gotta be super cool, or I just won't bother at all.

That definate makes since! I tried a Steinberger ,Synapse about a two years ago and had to send it back because the volume and tone knobs were all jacked up.They felt cheap and were crooked when you turned them.Cool design I guess!Different anyway!I think Patrick Mameli from"Pestilence plays Steinberger so they must be decent!!
