Today I saw the preview for the new Clash of the Titans movie.
It got me thinking... We are at the point where movie magic can make anything seam believeable. We are also just a few years away from this technology being cheap enough for any kid to make his own blockbusters, leading to the collapse of the movie industry! (indulge me)
so , what movies would you like to see remade before it's too late. Movies that were good but didn't live up to their potential due to the technology at the time.
i'd like to see The Last Starfighter.

Movies that were good but didn't live up to their potential due to the technology at the time. i'd like to see The Last Starfighter. That's a brilliant suggestion! I always liked that movie. I'm gonna put that in my netflix queue now. Btw, technology is there already-anyone can make a cheap movie that looks pro now- but you still need a brilliant script to make that work. I don't think that would kill Hollywood, in fact because moviemaking would not be an elitist thing anymore, groundbreaking, experimental artists now have their chance to shine. It would definitely kill the overpaid megastar though. I myself, if I was to re-make it, it definitely has to be PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. If a studio would do it, I vote "The Last Dragon". Anybody here heard of the "Lords Of Chaos" movie being made? It stars one of the dudes from Twilight as Varg Vikernes.

Your right, you cant kill Hollywood... but hopefully we can kill Tom Cruise. The Last Dragon would be great (you know I'm a huge fan) but it has to be backed by a studio. you need big money to get: 1. a music superstar. 2. a couple of kung fu kids. 3. Ludacris to play sho-nuf and teach him kung fu. Plan 9 would be cool too. i want to see a remake of I Come in Peace. only without Dolf Lundgren cuz he's gettin pretty old.

Haha some people don't want anything to do with the "movie" I'm surprised Brain Damage Films did not release this. Pretty dreadful even for a Troma film.

Did you see that new Universal Soldiers movie? Van Damme looks like they just dug him up, and Dolf looks like he's been playing Halo for three days straight. I'm glad they made the movie though, it gives me closure. I couldn't imagine being on my death bed wondering whatever happened to Luc Deveraux and that other guy. That was sarcasm.

As long as the Fresh Prince doesn't make a cameo, it should be easy to ignore. "MIYYAAAGGIII!!!!" - Sato from Karate Kid Part II.
